How to get your HRT medication for £19.30 per year
Apr 17, 2023If you live in England and you are still paying for every HRT prescription that you get I have good news for you.
From 1st April 2023 you can buy a prepaid certificate from £19.30 which last for 12 months and covers the cost of your HRT medication for the whole 12 months. (The certificate covers most HRT medication - I have popped a list of them all below)
This is great news as you would normally be paying £19.30 for one prescription (if you are on combined oestrogen & progesterone)
You can buy a pre-pay certificate at some pharmacies and also online HERE
If you are on other medication that you pay a prescription charge for then it may be worth buying a general pre-paid certificate instead which will cover you for all your medication.
A 3 month pre-paid certificate costs £31.25 and would be worth buying if you get more than 3 prescriptions in 3 months.
The 12 month pre-paid certificate costs £111.60 and is worth buying if you get more than 11 prescriptions in 12 months.
