5 Journal Prompts To Help With An Anxiety Attack

Here are 5 great journal prompts that you can use which will help to direct your thoughts and start to reduce your anxiety quickly.
1.What am I feeling right now, and where do I feel it in my body?"
Describe your physical sensations and emotions without judgment. Noticing where anxiety manifests in your body (tight chest, racing heart, etc.) can help you become more aware of how your body responds to stress.
2.What thoughts are running through my mind? Are they facts or fears?
List the thoughts you’re having right now. Then, take a moment to distinguish between what is factual and what is driven by anxiety. This can help you identify irrational or exaggerated fears.
3.What is within my control right now, and what can I let go of?
Identify one or two small actions you can take to regain a sense of control, such as taking deep breaths, getting some fresh air, or reaching out to someone supportive. Acknowledge what is outside of your control and practice releasing it.
4. If my best friend were feeling this way, what would I say to them?
Write down the compassionate words you would offer a friend in the same situation. Redirect that kindness towards yourself, using gentle, reassuring language to provide comfort.
5. What are three things I am grateful for right now, no matter how small?
Shift your focus by listing three things, people, or moments that you appreciate. Gratitude can serve as a powerful tool to anchor you in the present and redirect anxious energy.
